Ciné is a touring film festival based in San Vito dei Normanni, Brindisi. Held for the first time in the summer of 2018, the event aims to bring the Italian cinema back to a provincial area, in particular to a town that, following the permanent closure of its historic 'Cinema Melacca', has been lacking a space of public entertainment.
In three editions the festival has hosted, amongst others, Italian artists such as Selene Caramazza, Blu Yoshimi, Dario Aita, Brando Pacitto, Angela Fontana, Phaim Bhuiyan, Andrea Magnani, Giovanni Storti, Giuseppe Bonito, Pippo Mezzapesa.
Giorni di Luce (Days of Light) is a series of artist residencies focusing on photography held in San Vito dei Normanni, Brindisi. The aim of the event is to create a new visual imagery of this area of Southern Italy through the eyes of the best young Italian photographers!
The professionals spend three days on the spot, meeting photography enthusiasts with whom they render a photographic narrative of the town, each time inspired by a different theme.
All photos are then displayed at a concluding summer exhibition.
