Cattive Produzioni srls is a film production company specialising in audiovisual works, event planning and film services. It starts as a collective in the summer of 2017 with the production of 'Lotus', a docudrama by Marco Mingolla shot in Thailand and awarded with the Thailand Short Film Competition. In the summer of 2018, the collective produces 'Soubrette', a short film inspired by the iconic Italian TV programme of the 1990s 'Non è la Rai'. This short film has premiered in competition at the Rome Independent Film Festival and participated in several national and international contests.
In the summer of 2018, the collective also organises the first edition of Ciné in San Vito dei Normanni, Puglia. Ciné is a film festival whose aim is to bring the new Italian cinema left out of the major distribution to a provincial area, raising the awareness of locals about the absence of a cinema in town.
Following the great success of the event, Cattive Produzioni, along with the urban lab ExFadda and Teatro Menzatì Association, tries to bring back to the local community a space fit for public entertainment. The collective participates with this project to a call for ideas, 'Venti di Futuro' (Winds of Future) 2019, run by Banca Etica, winning the first prize in the cultural projects category. Afterwards, it also wins 'PIN – Pugliesi Innovativi' thanks to a public engagement project relating to the building of the new cinema.
In March 2019, Cattive Produzioni produces in partnership with MarteLabel the music video for the song 'Himalaya Cocktail' by the Italian singer and songwriter Gio Evan. In the same month, it starts a collaboration with MadMan Studio for the production of advertisements, making a commercial for the new handbag line launched by the popular Italian TV host and actress Alessia Marcuzzi.
On 22 October 2019, Cattive Produzioni officially becomes a company, broadening its team with new professionals.
